Apollo’s Grunge (Poem)

Apollo's Grunge

Any old paper will do

A scribble or typeface is equally true

As a nod unto firmament

Or some bittersweet heart’s lament

To write is to sing

To speak is to breathe

Giving souls a wing

And nerves reprieve

How cheap is the pleasure

Of such a great treasure

A pen and a paper you pulled from the refuse

Gift worthy of the most beautiful muse
